“Jon and Kate have a life-changing announcement. Tune in for the one-hour special, Monday, June 22 @ 9/8c,” says TLC’s website, but the video clip doesn’t seem to be working (I’m guessing it’s overloaded?).
Look, I don’t even watch “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” but somehow the ins and outs of this show have seeped into the collective conciousness and I feel like I watch it by proxy. You can’t even grocery shop in the shitty Shopper’s on University Blvd. where exactly NO ONE speaks English without seeing Kate’s hideous hairdo on the cover of every tabloid magazine. Maybe, just maybe, they’ll finally denounce their television ways and go back to just being privately bitchy and creepy. Then the good guys will win.
Of course, it’s dollars to donuts that their “life-changing announcement” will be the big ol’ D-word, and then TLC can change the show’s name to “Jon & Kate Plus 8 Divided by 2 Plus 12 Attorneys Minus All Dignity.”
