So Many Questions
I received an email today from a friend in the MFA department. We also went to high school together, back when he had long hair and I had short hair, though it’s probably best that we don’t really remember each other too well from those days. Anyway. Here’s the email:
So my boss here is looking for attractive people to do some modeling. I think it pays 250.00 an hour. Seriously. Not even kidding. I can’t get that much because I work here already, so I’ll be getting NOTHING for it. But you could get boat loads of money. Any interest? Basically you’d be playing an analyst. Which I feel like you could do pretty easily.
Is…is he inviting me to do porn? What other “modeling” jobs pay $250/hour and require one to “play an analyst.” Moreover, is that a thinly veiled buttsex joke?
I’m wildly curious at this point, and also, totally broke. Funemployment is great when it comes to spending a Monday riding roller coasters at an amusement park, teaching group fitness classes in the middle of the afternoon, and planning long weekend trips to Wisconsin. Funemployment is much less fun when it’s time to pay the rent. At this point I’d consider a $250/hour “modeling” gig…so long as it is all tastefully done, of course.
